We appreciate that some of our terms regarding ownership can be confusing, so here are some useful definitions of ownership types to help explain…

Fixed

If you own the same week every year this is known as ‘fixed’ ownership. If you wish to return to your owned week you have to book a Home Week reservation 13-12 months in advance of the start date. If however, you’d like to return to the resort where you own but not during the same fixed time you originally purchased, you can book during the Home Resort reservation window.

Floating

If you own a week at a particular resort which does not fall into the same week number every year, this is known as ‘floating’ ownership. If you wish to return to the resort which you own at, you must book a Home Resort reservation 12-11 months in advance of the start date of the specific week number you wish to book.

Pure Points

Pure Points are sold without a fixed or floating week of timeshare ownership attached to them. Pure Points are backed up with units of accommodation by the resort (or developer) that they were purchased from. The resort charges RCI the maintenance fees on the accommodation that Pure Points are backed up with and RCI passes this fee onto Pure Points owners as a Management Fee*

* May not apply to all Pure Points members - specific to resort purchased.

» These rules apply to RCI Points membership. Club membership rules may differ, please contact your club for more information.
